About

Work/Career:

I am the Early Literacy Librarian for St. Joe County Public Library, which means I work with children ages 0-5 and their families. Some big elements of my job include Storytime and Babytime, as well as creating rich play experiences for children.

Favorite Hangout:

At the risk of sounding as if I’m from Victorian England, I am often found having Afternoon Tea at Apothica Tea in Niles, Michigan. Beyond exploring new teas, Afternoon Tea is a great way to catch up with friends and co-workers.

Favorite Saint:

St. Joseph has always been interesting to me. He came from the royal line of David, yet he was a man of humble means. He was undoubtedly humbled even more in the presence of Jesus and Mary, who were born without original sin. Yet he obediently responded to the call to keep them safe in anonymity while he lived.

Favorite Book:

Dracula has always been among my favorites. Although it is not portrayed this way in adaptations, this is a story of the triumph of light over darkness. There is also something for every kind of reader in this epistolary novel: action, romance (NOT for Dracula), psychological horror, fantasy, science, and there is even a cowboy.
